LOVE CROSSES BORDERS is an exhibit that honors LaGrange’s unofficial sister city, La Libertad, Guatemala. For over a decade, men, women and children have left these Central American highlands - their community, culture, and coffee fields - to put down roots in U.S. communities, particularly in LaGrange. These images, taken on both sides of the border, offer an intimate look at a joyful and resilient community that enriches both La Libertad and LaGrange.
EL AMOR CRUZA FRONTERAS es una exhibición que honra la ciudad hermana no oficial de LaGrange - La Libertad, Guatemala. Por más de una década, hombres, mujeres y niños han dejado las tierras altas de Centro América - su comunidad, cultura, y campos cafetales - para sembrar raíces en comunidades en los Estados Unidos, en especial LaGrange. Estas imágenes, capturadas de ambos lados de la frontera, le ofrecen una vista personal de una comunidad alegre y resistente que enriquece ambas ciudades, La Libertad y LaGrange.
